SETOUT SURVEY

Before construction of a new residence or factory building or additions to existing buildings, a setout survey is required to accurately position the proposed construction in relation to the boundaries of the land in accordance with Council approved plans.

During the survey, pegs would be placed offset from the corners of the construction or along gridlines to allow checking as the construction proceeds.

A benchmark related to an appropriate datum may also be required.

BOMA SURVEY

A BOMA survey is used to measure the gross or nett lettable area of leased premises such as shops, factories and warehouses.
