IDENTIFICATION SURVEY
There are 2 main reasons for obtaining an identification survey:
- For conveyancing purposes and Building Certificate applications, an identification survey is necessary to ensure the parcel of land you are purchasing correlates with the house you have inspected. The survey will also show any encumbrances or encroachments over the subject land and the position of any significant improvements in relation to boundaries.
- At the completion of construction of a new residence or extensions to an existing residence, Council or the Private Certifier will require an identification survey to confirm the position of the dwelling in relation to the boundaries prior to the issue of an Occupation Certificate.
